PROGRAMME OF EVENTS 2025

All dates refer to the 3rd Tuesday in the month, unless otherwise stated

 

  JANUARY 21st:          RESOLUTIONS - we discuss the selected resolutions for this year

                                 and vote individually for the one we prefer to go forward to the

                                 NFWI Annual Meeting.

                                 There will also be a social activity.

 

  FEBRUARY 18th:       'Move it or Lose it' with Michele De Casanove

                                 Improve your flexibility, balance and strength.

 

  MARCH 18th:            'Street Angels of Guildford' - Jenny Nockolds

                                 The Volunteers who care for vunerable people

                                 on the streets of Guildford every Friday & Saturday night 

                                 between 11pm & 4am.

 

  APRIL 15th:              Mark Longley from Ewbanks Auctioneers

                                 Mark will be valuing our precious items, hoping to find a treasure.

 

  MAY 20th:               'I don't want that in my garden' - Michelle Ernoult

                                We have our annual plant sale

                                there will be a chance to make a candle.

 

  JUNE 17th:              The History of Afternoon Tea - Meryl White

                                Find out what makes the perfect afternoon tea,

                                there will also be an opportunity to go for tea later in the month.

 

  JULY 15th:              'Make up for the older women' - Rosemarie Swinfield                 

                                Discover the secrets of the make-up bag.

 

  AUGUST:                 THERE IS NO MEETING IN AUGUST AS THE HALL IS CLOSED. 

                                INSTEAD WE WILL GO ON AN OUTING 

                                This year we will be visiting Wisley for a Garden Tour and lunch

 

  SEPTEMBER 16th:    The Forensic Experince - Hayley Scott 

                                Discover what happens behind the crime scene tape.

 

  OCTOBER 21st:       'You are what you eat - Helen Halliday

                                 Is what you eat impacting on your health and wellbeing?

 

  NOVEMBER 18th:     This month we hold our ANNUAL MEETING, 

                                we vote in our new committee

                                and make a craft item for Christmas.

 

  DECEMBER 16th:      Iestyn Edwards - My Tutu went AWOL! 

                                 THIS MEETING WILL START AT 6pm

                                 and the chance to go to the pantomime at

                                 Yvonne Arnaud Theatre

  

    In addition to the above monthly meetings we also have, at least, one extra event during 

    the month together with our various monthly small group clubs.

 

   Extra events might be a visit to a local attraction, a theatre trip, a sporting activity or a lunch.
